Officials: Van, RV Fire Caused By Arson

The Maryland Fire Marshal's office is investigating a fire that destroyed two vehicles.

Arson is to blame for a fire that ravaged a van and an RV in Aberdeen early Friday, the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said.

A 1990 Pace Arrow RV and a Ford van were damaged by a fire in the 1300 block of South Philadelphia Boulevard around midnight Friday, the fire marshal said in a statement released Friday.

About 15 members of the Aberdeen Volunteer Fire Company responded to the one-alarm fire and had it under control in 20 minutes. The vehicles sustained approximately $10,000 in damage, the fire marshal said.
