Armed, Masked Men Rob Youths Near Edgewood Basketball Court

The robbery occurred near Mystik Mart Tuesday night.

Three people were robbed by masked men armed with guns and a knife in a street robbery Tuesday night in Edgewood, according to Harford County Sheriff's Office spokesman Eddie Hopkins.

There were no injuries as a result of the incident, which occurred at approximately 11:39 p.m. Tuesday near the basketball court behind Mystik Mart in the 1700 block of Hanson Road, Hopkins said.

Three victims—a 20-year-old man, a 16-year-old girl and a 19-year-old man—told deputies that they were walking across the basketball court when they saw two men wearing ski masks crouched down in a wooded area nearby, Hopkins said.

The masked men reportedly followed the victims and ordered them to get on the ground. One suspect was armed with two guns and another with a knife, according to Hopkins.

The men went took cash, wallets and cellphones before heading toward the Mystik Mart, Hopkins said.
