Elderly Man Injured Falling from Scooter

Emergency crews transported the man from Route 22 on Thursday.

 

An elderly man was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore Thursday afternoon after falling from his electric sit-down scooter in , authorities said.

The 81-year-old man fell off his scooter sometime before 1:15 p.m. on MD Route 22 near U.S. Route 40, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association

His condition was not immediately known.

A Maryland State Police medevac helicopter landed at around 1:15 p.m. An Aberdeen fire truck and an Aberdeen ambulance sat on North Parke Street alongside the park.

Residents and business people from areas surrounding the park came outside—some of them snapping photos of the chopper landing.
