Fire Burns In Belcamp Townhouse Basement

A basement fire billowed smoke into the upper levels of a Belcamp townhome Sunday evening, but was controlled quickly by four local fire companies.

No injuries were reported, according to , spokesman for the Harford County Fire & EMS Association.

Volunteers began responding just before 8 p.m. Sunday to the 4400 block of Tolchester Court (see Mapquest image for location).

By 8 p.m., the fire was under control, and some of the responding units were being released from the scene, Gardiner said.

Crews from Abingdon, Aberdeen, Joppa-Magnolia and fire companies responded.
