Firefighters Converge on Mitchell Avenue Home

No injuries are reported in fire at rental property, according to Aberdeen Volunteer Fire Department.

Firefighters extinguished an attic fire Wednesday morning that ripped through the roof of a small, ranch-style home in the unit block of Mitchell Avenue, authorities said.

There were no injuries, according to Aberdeen Volunteer Fire Department Assistant Chief Eric Reith.

“We went through the house to get to it,” Reith said. “The house was unoccupied at the time. It’s a rental property.”
