Man Charged With Assault, Sex Offenses Following Edgewood Stabbing

Police are seeking a second suspect.

An Edgewood man was arrested in the Thanksgiving evening stabbing in the 1700 block of Fountain Rock Way, with a warrant out for a second suspect.

Andre Donnell Carter of the 1300 block of Gold Meadow Way was charged with one count of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, first- and second-degree sex offense and attempted first- and second-degree sex offense. He is being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center.

The Harford County Sheriff's Office said a warrant is out for Jamarr Antonio Carter, also of Edgewood.

According to a release from the sheriff's office, Andre Carter and Jamarr Carter confronted the victim in the 1700 block of Fountain Rock Way. Jamarr Carter reportedly punched the victim in the face and stabbed him in the face with a silver knife.

The release stated that witnesses tried to stop the fighting, but Jamarr Carter reportedly kicked the victim several times. Andre Carter allegedly began to pull off the victim's pants and the two spread the victim's buttocks. A witness said it seemed like Andre Carter was about to stab the victim.

Jamarr Carter was pulled away by a witness, who Andre Carter bit on the neck. Andre Carter lifted his pants leg to reveal a black handgun, then the pair fled, according to the release.

The release from the sheriff's office did not specify how or if Andre and Jamarr Carter were related.
