Man Shot by Aberdeen Police Faces Assault, Drug Charges

Terrance Kisto also faces firearm charges and an outstanding Harford County robbery warrant.

The man shot and injured by police in Aberdeen earlier this week has been released from the hospital and arrested.

Terrance D. Kisto, 34, of the 1300 block of Tralee Circle, is charged with first-degree assault, use of a firearm in a violent crime, possessing a firearm with a felony conviction and a controlled substance violation.

Kisto also had an outstanding robbery warrant from the Harford County Sheriff's Office, which has been served, according to police. Kisto is being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center.

Police responded late Monday night to the Economy Inn in the 600 block of South Philadelphia Boulevard for a report of shots fired. A man police later identified as Kisto allegedly drew a handgun when confronted by police, and an officer fired two shots. Kisto was taken to Harford Memorial Hospital, then to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

A booking photo of Kisto was not immediately made available.

The officer who shot Kisto was identified as Thaddeus Tomlinson. Tomlinson, who has been with the department for nearly a year, has been placed on administrative leave during an investigation into the incident, according to police.
