Man Slashed During Fight

A 25-year-old Middle River man was cut during a struggle in Aberdeen Monday night.

A 25-year-old Middle River man was slashed during a fight Monday night at the Highland Commons apartments in Aberdeen, according to police.

In response to a reported stabbing, Aberdeen police arrived at 24 Pritchard Ave. and found Anthony L. Johnson Jr. with a slash wound on his neck.  

Police said Johnson had been in a fight with 23-year-old Robert A. McClellan of Edgewood, who was arrested at the scene and charged with stabbing Johnson with a knife, according to an Aberdeen Police Department press release.

Aberdeen Fire Department paramedics transported Johnson to Bayview Medical Center, where he was treated and released.

McClellan has been charged with first and second degree assault and weapons charges, according to police. He was being held Tuesday at Harford County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond, the release stated.
