Fire Marshal: Route 40 Office Blaze Being Investigated as Arson

The fire was reported Monday morning.

A fire found Monday morning behind an Aberdeen business was believed to have been intentionally set, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office.

The blaze at Maryland Portable Concrete (1540 S. Philadelphia Blvd.) started at approximately 3:04 a.m. Sunday, the fire marshal reported, and went out on its own.

Management discovered the fire upon opening the business Monday morning and it is now being investigated as an arson, according to the report. Nobody was reported to have been injured.

The fire marshal said the blaze caused $300 in structural damage.
