PHOTOS: Pond Where Man's Body Was Left

Robert Richardson Jr.'s body was found in a pond behind his sister's house on Gilbert Road.

A 16-year-old boy was charged as an adult Tuesday after police say he shot and killed his father at their Bel Air home then dumped the body in the Aberdeen pond shown in these photos.

The body was found in the pond in the 800 block of Gilbert Road, located approximately 100 yards behind the victim's sister's house, a neighbor said.

Monica Worrell, public information officer for the Harford County Sheriff's Office, confirmed the address and the location of the body when it was recovered. The sheriff's office would only confirm that a nearby house was owned by a relative.

Robert C. Richardson III, 16, was charged Tuesday with first- and second-degree murder and use of a handgun in commission of a felony or violent crime.

Richardson allegedly shot and killed his father, 58-year-old Robert Richardson Jr., inside their home in the 800 block of Moores Mill Road, according to a release from the .
