Police Investigating 2 Aberdeen Armed Robberies

Police have arrested and charged two men in connection with a Monday robbery.

While two men have already been charged, the investigation into two armed robberies in Aberdeen on Monday night is ongoing. 

At about 7 p.m. on Nov. 12, in the unit block of Swan Street, a group of men, including one armed with a knife, ran toward a victim. The victim was thrown to the ground and robbed of cash and other property, according to a release from the Aberdeen Police Department.

In connection with the robbery, police arrested Joshua K. Telp, 18, of the 300 block of Custis Street, and Kevin D. Watkins, 18, of the first block of Alton Street. Both were charged with armed robbery, robbery, first- and second-degree assault and theft. Both are being held at the Harford County Detention Center, police stated in the release.

Police are now working to determine if the robbery is connected to another incident just two hours later.

At about 9 p.m. on Nov. 12, inside the Northside Liquors Store in the 200 block of North Philadelphia Boulevard, an employee confronted a man inside the store to tell him it was closed. The man then showed a handgun and was joined by two other men. They removed cash from the register and ran away. No one was injured, according to the release.
