Police Make Arrest Following May Panera Robbery

Aberdeen police have charged a man with robbing the Aberdeen Panera Bread.

Aberdeen police have made an arrest in an armed robbery that took place in May at Panera Bread.

John Timothy Lacotti, 37, of the 300 block of Post Road was arrested and charged with robbery, armed robbery, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and the use of a firearm during a felony, Aberdeen police said in a release.

The armed robbery took place May 9, when restaurant staff reported a man, brandishing a handgun, demanded cash. The man left the store with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

Police were unable to locate a suspect immediately following the incident.

Lacotti is awaiting a bail review hearing, police said.

A handgun was found during a search of Lacotti's residence, according to police.
