Route 136 Shut Down for Fatal Thursday Morning Crash

Traffic was closed for a crash investigation before 7 a.m. Thursday in the Churchville area.

UPDATED (9:20 a.m.)—MD Route 136 was closed to traffic Thursday morning after a serious crash in the Churchville area and may remain closed until noon.

One person was killed in the crash, WBAL and ABC 2 News are reporting.

The crash, which occurred on the 300 block of Priestford Road, left at least one person with "grave injuries," according to Rich Gardiner, spokesperson for the Harford County Fire & EMS Association.

One person was taken by land to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center after the two-vehicle crash, according to The Baltimore Sun.

The roadway may be closed for four to five hours, Gardiner said around 7 a.m.

Route 136 was closed between MD Route 22 (Churchville Road) and Cool Spring Road, which intersects Priestford Road (Route 136) just south of the bridge over Deer Creek.
