Sheriff's Office Seeks Man in Edgewood Armed Robbery

A 7-Eleven on Gateway Road was struck early Saturday.

The Harford County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man in connection with an early Saturday armed robbery in Edgewood.

At 4:42 a.m., deputies responded to the 7-Eleven in the 1000 block of Gateway Road, according to a sheriff's office release. A clerk told deputies that a man armed with a knife entered the store and went to the cash drawer. He took an unknown amount of money from the drawer and a number of cigarettes from a storage shelf, according to the release. No injuries were reported.

The man fled toward Gateway Road.

Tha man is described as white, 5-foot-9 to 6 feet tall, medium build and 220 to 250 pounts, with light brown hair. He had facial hair that may have been a goatee, according to the release. During the robbery, he was wearing a light gray hoodie, a black or blue flat-brimmed baseball cap, blue jeans and black sneakers.

Anyone with any information on the robbery is asked to call Detective Andrew Lane at 410-836-5431 or anonymously via the sheriff's office website or by texting Metro Crime Stoppers at 274637, with a message beginning in "MCS." Tips that lead to an arrest and indictment could be eligible for a reward, according to the release.
