Shots Fired Inside Aberdeen Home

On Sunday a man fired shots into the ceiling of an Aberdeen home, police say.

A man was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and charges are pending against him after a shooting incident inside an Aberdeen home Sunday.

Around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to a home in the unit block of New County Road to investigate shots fired in the area, according to a release from the Aberdeen Police Department.

When they arrived, officers learned a man inside the home became angry about "several issues" and allegedly fired multiple shots into the ceiling, the release states.

A woman at the home directed officers to an upstairs bedroom where they found the man, whose identity has not been released by police, in bed and a handgun on the floor nearby, according to police.

The man was taken by Aberdeen Fire Department to Harford Memorial Hospital for evaluation. The woman was not injured.
