10-Year-Old Injured in Jarrettsville Sledding Accident

First responders were called to the scene before noon.

A sledding incident involving a child in Jarrettsville prompted an emergency response on Monday morning, according to Harford Fire & EMS spokesman Rich Gardiner.

A 10-year-old became impaled by a rebar while sledding near the 3600 block of Anderson Lane, Gardiner said.

As of 11:51 a.m., Gardiner said firefighters and emergency medical technicians were on the scene.
