What Happened at the Churchville Mini Golf Center?

Some unusual attire was spotted at the golf course Thursday.

There was no emergency at Churchville Golf Thursday morning, Harford County Volunteer Fire & Emergency Services assured the public, after several people in hazmat suits were spotted walking the course.

In fact, it was a routine exercise—a game of golf between two departments of emergency personnel.

Members of the Harford County Hazmat Response Team and the APG Fire Department were playing putt putt in their protective gear as training, according to Harford County Fire & Emergency Services.

"This yearly event builds dexterity, visual acuity, air management and teamwork," according to Harford County Volunteer Fire & Emergency Services.
