Police: Woman Driving With Children Strikes Pedestrians, Patrol Car

A Havre de Grace woman is accused of intentionally striking two people with her car before trying to elude police on Tuesday.

A Havre de Grace woman allegedly intentionally struck two pedestrians with her car, before leading police on a pursuit on Tuesday—all the while with her children on board, said.

Christina Renee Parks, 24, of the 3700 block of Green Spring Road in Havre de Grace, was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, three counts of second-degree assault and three counts of second-degree assault, according to court records.

Parks allegedly struck a 31-year-old woman and her 14-year-old son with her 2003 Toyota in the unit block of Franklin Street, following a confrontation at 10:53 p.m. on Tuesday, according to a statement from Aberdeen police.

Police were on the scene to assist the victims after police were alerted that Parks had returned. Officers pursued the vehicle into the parking lot at nearby , where the car stopped, reversed and struck an Aberdeen police car, before accelerating and fleeing police, the statement said.

The car then traveled on U.S. Route 40 at speeds up to 100 miles per hour, police said. The vehicle was stopped at U.S. Route 40 and Woodbridge Center Way in Edgewood after assistance from the in deploying Stop Sticks in the roadway.

Parks' 16-month-old and 2-year-old were in the vehicle, unrestrained in child safety seats, police said.
