Woman Robbed at Gunpoint Near Department Store

The victim, whose identity has not been released, is expected to recover, according to Lt. Fred Budnick.

The Aberdeen Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred behind Target Sunday that left one woman hospitalized, police said.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, is expected to recover, according to Lt. Fred Budnick, a police spokesman.

“In the rear of the Target on Middleton, an adult female victim and her friend were held at gunpoint," Budnick said. "The victim could identify the suspect.”

Police responded to a 911 call from the 1000 block of Middleton Road at 4:50 p.m. Sunday where the victim reported being robbed and beaten at gunpoint, Budnick said.

“She was struck and injured in the head and shoulder during the robbery and admitted to Harford Memorial Hospital,” said Budnick.

Police are searching for a specific person but have not yet obtained a warrant to pursue the suspect, whose identity is also being kept confidential, Budnick said.

“The suspect is also wanted for an incident in Havre De Grace that took place over the weekend,” said Budnick, who would not elaborate on the nature of the Havre de Grace incident.
