Two members of the Aberdeen community were recently honored with their own day of the year.
Mayor Michael Bennett proclaimed Dec. 10, 2012, as “Mary and John Law Day" in the City of Aberdeen during the City Council meeting Monday.
"Mary Law has given 43 years and John Law has given five years to various community and civic organizations," Bennett said, reading the proclamation he had prepared.
Organizations the Laws have served include the Aberdeen Heritage Trust, Board of Elections, Planning Commission and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Harford County.
“We cherish you," Bennett said of the Laws, adding: "They are part of the reason our community is growing and moving forward."
