In an email to , APG Acting Chief of Public Affairs Adriane Foss wrote: "It is a day set aside for APG troops and civilians, along with their Family members, to get out of their offices and homes to participate in fun, healthy competition. This is our inaugural event and should be well attended. The goal is to build camaraderie and to simply enjoy ourselves."

Military and civilian personnel—as individuals and teams—will compete in events, including kickball, bowling, flag football, volleyball, basketball, golf, softball and relay races, Foss said.
