Community Policing Event

The Aberdeen Police Department issued the following statement about its event on July 30:

"The Aberdeen Police Department will be hosting a Community Policing Event Saturday, July 30, 2011 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the George D. Lisby
Elementary School on Edmund Street. The purpose of this event is to continue to strengthen the partnership between Aberdeen Police Department and the community."

"Participating Organizations: Aberdeen Police Department and Auxiliary Police, Aberdeen Volunteer Fire Department, Harford Young Marines, City of Aberdeen (Recycling), Maryland Center for Missing Children."

"Members of the public will be able to interact with members of the participating organizations. Aberdeen Police Mobile Command Unit, Aberdeen SWAT vehicle, marked Aberdeen Police patrol and auxiliary vehicles, Aberdeen Fire Department vehicles will all be on display. There will be other static public safety displays, handouts, child identification kits, child fingerprinting will be available."

"Take this opportunity to come out and meet the members of the public safety community who serve the citizens of Aberdeen on a daily basis and enjoy free hot dogs,
hamburgers, cold drinks, and free giveaways."
