Aberdeen residents receive one perk after the holidays: trash pick-up includes your Christmas tree.
City residents can dispose of their trees at the curb on Fridays this month.
Residents in Zones 1 and 2 (who have trash picked up on Monday and Tuesday) can put yard waste at the road on the first and third Fridays of each month. They can leave their tree at the road before 6 a.m. on Jan. 18.
Residents in Zones 3 and 4 (who have trash picked up on Wednesday and Thursday) can put yard waste at the road on the second and fourth Fridays of each month. Those residents may leave their trees at the curb before 6 a.m. on Jan. 25.
Don't want to wait? Bring your tree to the back of the parking lot at the Moose Lodge on Rogers Street, and city staff will pick up your tree for chipping.
For residents living outside of city limits, Harford County offers two locations for dropping off trees:
- Harford Waste Disposal Center Yard Trim Facility » 3135 Scarboro Road, Street; 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Monday to Saturday
- Tollgate Yard Trim Drop-Off » 703 Tollgate Road, Bel Air; 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays
Residents living in the county may also contact their respective trash service provider for more information.
