New Bus Route Links Harford and Cecil Counties

Route No. 7, also known as the "Teal" line, will offer nine round trips on stops between Aberdeen and Perryville.

Officials from Harford County, Cecil County and the state unveiled a bus route that will connect commuters between Harford and Cecil Counties.

Route No. 7, also known as the "Teal" line, will offer nine round trips connecting Aberdeen and Perryville on weekdays except for holidays. There is no weekend service. There are 17 scheduled stops nothbound from Aberdeen to Perryville, and 12 scheduled stops southbound from Perryville to Aberdeen

"I think what this partnership does is it brings two counties even closer together. It brings two towns closer together, and it brings us as people closer together," said , president of the Cecil County Board of Commissioners. "I learned a lot through the toll debate here how much people in the city of Havre de Grace and Perryville depend on each other economically."

Stops that could be the most useful to commuters are , , Perryville train station and Hollywood Casino. Bus service runs from 6 a.m. to 6:17 p.m.

The Teal line is expected to start running before Feb. 15.
