Poll: Will Supreme Court Decision Help Obama's Campaign?

Do you think President Obama's re-election efforts have been helped by court's ruling?

Much of on Thursday's Supreme Court ruling.

Some analysts felt President Barack Obama scored a huge win Thursday.

Some officials felt Republican challenger Mitt Romney will benefit from conservative momentum following the decision.

Either way, Thursday's Supreme Court ruling—one that upheld the individual mandate that requires the purchase of insurance as a tax—thrust health care to the top of the list of campaign topics heading toward November.

We want to hear from you.

Vote in our poll. Then tell us in the comments if Thursday's ruling has changed or cemented your vote this November.

Frank, In the real world people learn and grow and change their minds every day. When new info and better ideas come alone we all change our minds. We are all human . I would be suspect to any man or woman who was unable to learn, grow and change his thinking. God bless Romney with his open mind and willingness to improve . The man know that only God knows it all !

I don't think it is going to hurt Obama. It is the spin doctors that will! Check who is really affecting the elections... Big business! Romney and McCain are just puppets. They used to make sense until the powers that be who said do you want to be president play our game. I don't want government on business but we have allowed it ever since the computer age and it gets worse all the time! Just found the govt requires that all retirement accounts market value is sent to the IRS. So if they are prying then at least you know about! I don't see anyone complaining about how many of our rights were taken away during Bush's leadership and he was elected a second time! Face it the President sets the tone and the Congress decides on it's fate. As far as the Supreme Court, I say term limits for them to! It should not be based on their health(by the way they decide whether they are heathly enough) or their Death! Watch the movie "Hot Coffee" , you will get a new perspective on who will get into office and campaign reform!

Sorry, I don't want govt in my personal life or business!
Elaine June 29, 2012 at 05:31 PM
It is all part of the total package ! Tear it down bit by bit and this nation is ruined. Each time you look the other way and say lets move on you lose a chunk of that package that is America. WE NEED TO VOTE OBAMA OUT OF OFFICE ! Thats the answer to all the problems we are facing. Get a grip on reality jnentz1

There seems to be a popular misconception that Emergency Room care for people with no insurance is passed on to taxpayers. I have heard several people say this. It is false. The hospitals eat this cost and pass it along to their paying customers (the insurance companies) who mark it up and pass it along to their customers.

Mr. Etch-a-sketch as he is known. He will say anything to get elected. Take the blinders off. Oh, all you see is Obama.
Steve June 29, 2012 at 08:46 PM
It already has helped the President. Look at how his poll numbers surged upwards literally over night. RMoney will never catch him.
Carol June 30, 2012 at 01:56 AM
I sure hope they do. It's about time Obama does something right for this country. He gave us change alright a lot of lost their homes, and he has divided this country like never before, united we stand, divided we FALL! . So I do hope the tea party keeps doing a good job.
Carol June 30, 2012 at 02:02 AM

Why do those who are opposed to government intervention want to give their money to someone who will take more of it for his/her own profit (a private entity) and do with it whatever he/she likes, rather than to someone they elect and trust to regulate the private market through organizations like the FDA and who will redistribute the money where it is most needed?
Carol June 30, 2012 at 02:06 AM
I hope not. Obama doesn't know how to led this country, we need someone in there that can a least act like they know something. God Help Us!
FIFA June 30, 2012 at 02:13 AM
Carol, there is still hope for Palin!
mike gardiner June 30, 2012 at 03:40 AM
Thank God for President Obama who really cares about average people. The Republicans care about the rich and the big corporations.
Rob June 30, 2012 at 03:49 AM
Gregg, I say this in a non attacking manner. You are clueless and very dangerous because you can vote. Please look at everything the government has a hand in and tell me why you would want them involved in healthcare. Public Schools are a joke, they push people through that can't read and write, the graduation rate is something like 69%. It cost something like $12,000 a year per student. Teachers are untouchable regardless of how inept they are. Look at the DMV, Medicare is going broke, SS is going broke. People from all over the world flock to this country for medical care because it's the best in the world. Not everyone here has medical "Coverage" but everyone here gets medical "Treatment" even illegal's - it's already a law. So please before you get involved in casting a decision that will affect me, educate yourself enough to know what you are actually talking about.
Paul Amirault June 30, 2012 at 10:51 AM
Tom, Medicaid pays for much of that "free" care (at reduced rates). Medicaid is implemented by the states and federal government and their source of revenue is taxes and fees. That's us.
Paul Amirault June 30, 2012 at 10:55 AM
Dan, if it is a federal tax is not deductible on either your state or federal tax return. As a matter of law and public policy, penalties and fines are not deductible as well. Finally, all income is taxable unless the government specifically allows exclusion or specifically allows a deduction. Bottom line, death and taxes .................
slangwhang June 30, 2012 at 11:29 AM
Sorry Gregg Roberts Sick and Deadbeats are paid for by Medicaid. This will fine the Middle Class/ small business person who has already PAID FOR THE POOR IN THEIR TAXES. Now that they don't have the money left for pay their own families insurance, they will be fined. This is what JUDGE ROBERTS did with his sophomoric and empirical opinion.

It's sort of like when you go to the SAFEWAY OR GIANT.... You get in line with your items...in the express lane. There are 5 people in front of you who have FOOD STAMPS...and way over 20 items. ....You wait patiently as each one of them pulls out their CODEPENDENCE CARD....and gracefully accept, BEFORE YOU PAID FOR YOUR DINNER YOU PAID FOR 5 OTHERS.... WELCOME TO SOCIALISM!!!! NOVEMBER NOBAMA
slangwhang June 30, 2012 at 11:53 AM
CAUSED BY OBAMA! 5 Trillion in deficit Spending .... Including the Washington Post claiming a cost DEFICIT of 340 Billion just to begin with for this HEALTH CARE...... Ask any of the 13 million UNEMPLOYED....who did this...they'll tell you OBAMA!
slangwhang June 30, 2012 at 11:59 AM
slangwhang June 30, 2012 at 12:12 PM
They fixed it? Well then you pay the 340 BILLION DEFICIT it will cause add that to the 5 TRILLION OBAMA HAS ALREADY SPENT.....SOCIALIST ALWAYS THINK THINGS ARE FIXED...THEY'll JUST TAX MORE. Have they fixed SOCIAL SECURITY....HOW ABOUT MEDICAID...BOTH ARE NEAR BANKRUPTCY...WHAT ABOUT THE Veterans Admin.....have they done that right... Why just yesterday the Administration was declaring too raise the price of INSURANCE ON MILITARY FAMILIES............WHAT JUSTICE IS THAT? ...except to force even the MILITARY into STATE PAY PLANS...
slangwhang June 30, 2012 at 12:27 PM
David J Iacono.: ..I guess you won't be able to BLAME GW BUSH for OBAMA's FAILED HEALTH CARE...with already at price tag of 340 Billion projected deficit ... So You'll blame MITT ROMNEY FOR IT.....I don't think so. Romney's was for an individual state, not an entire country. This will FAIL and the American People will be stuck with the bills. And people like you will sit at their computers gnostically thinking HOW WONDERFUL OBAMA IS.....ask the 13 million unemployed....THEY VOTE TOO!
FIFA June 30, 2012 at 12:31 PM

Elaine - I was poor growing up. The incentive came from my Mother who pushed us to succeed. Parenting makes the difference, not policy.

I know FIFA has nothing he can come back with...
Hursh Cullefer July 05, 2012 at 07:30 PM
If Obamacare is so good for the people of this country, why in the hell were congress and the labor unions granted a waiver or exempt. I purposely didn't capitalize the two flukes since I have no respect for either of them.
Cheryl July 05, 2012 at 07:36 PM
Only those who don't have health care & can afford it will be penalized. You are already carrying those who can not afford it but you are also carrying those who can afford it, but choose not to get it because it is so expensive. You should be careful what you ask for.
