UPDATED: Power Restored On APG Edgewood Area

The Aberdeen area was not impacted by the outage.

UPDATED (7:40 a.m.)—Power has been restored to the Edgewood Area of  following an ovenight outage, officials said.

An outage hit the area around 8 p.m. Wednesday, and the majority of the outage was resolved as of 6 a.m. Thursday. Full power was restored before most employees reached post Thursday, said Karen Jolley, acting chief of public affairs for the APG Garrison.

"APG and BGE teams worked throughout the night to address the situation," Jolley wrote in an email to . "Full power was restored at approximately 6:35 a.m. on Thursday, May 10."

The outage, which did not affect the Aberdeen area of APG, did impact CMA and JPEO-CBD, Jolley said. The Child Development Center and Youth Services Center remained open without power early Thursday.
