“It is important to hear from the taxpayers when developing a budget,” Craig said in a prepared statement. "This is a chance for citizens to express what they would like to see funded, and we always value the input provided."

Want to speak out at the hearing?

  • Speakers should arrive at least 30 minutes before the hearing  to sign in. The hearing starts at 6 p.m.
  • Individuals are given three minutes to speak.
  • Speakers representing a group are allotted five minutes.
Budget officials and the county executive's cabinet members will be in attendance.

Craig puts together the county budget between January and March. He must present his proposal to the County Council by April 15.

In the spring, the council holds additional public hearings and makes any revisions before the budget is adopted on June 15. The fiscal year begins July 1.

The budget hearing for FY 2015 will begin at 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, in the auditorium at Fallston High School, 2301 Carrs Mill Rd., in Fallston.
