3 Inducted Into Aberdeen Hall of Fame

Aberdeen High School inducted three more into its Hall of Fame Wednesday.

John Landbeck, Class of 1959, is a former judge and private attorney in Harford County. After beginning his career with the FBI, Landbeck opened a private attorney practice before being appointed as a District Court Judge in 1984. He was also a District Administrative Judge. Currently, he's an adjuct faculty member at Harford Community College, president of the Aberdeen Lions Club and a member of both the Aberdeen Rotary Club and Aberdeen Volunteer Fire Department.

John F. Bender, Class of 1963, is a member of the Harford/Cecil Volunteer Firemen’s Association and the Maryland State Fireman’s Association halls of fame. He worked for 35 years with the State Fire Marshal and Maryland State Police. He retired in 2006, but remains active with the Aberdeen Volunteer Fire Department, which created the "John F. Bender Safety Award" in his honor.

Dr. Maurice O. Wallace, Class of 1985, is an accomplished author and educator. Wallace began his career teaching in the departments of English and African and Afro-Studies at Yale. He is currently the Associate Professor in English and African and African American Studies at Duke. Wallace has returned regularly to speak to students and faculty at  during his esteemed career.
