FOOTBALL: Aberdeen, Fallston, Patterson Mill Remain Unbeaten

Patch updates scores from UCBAC football games from Friday night.

Here are the scores as compiled by Patch staff from the coaches:

FINAL» 9, 7:

The Huskies won the crosstown showdown on a Kyle Reddish field goal with 4:57 remaining. Luke DePasquale had a one-yard run to put Patterson Mill on the board. had a touchdown run of more than 60 yards for Bel Air.

"Anytime we beat Bel Air, it’s great. Anytime we beat an upper-level Chesapeake Division team, it’s great," head coach Josh Mason said. "Kyle has a great determination. We had an extra point blocked early in the game, he missed a field goal, and then he came back and kicked it through the goalposts."

The game was scoreless after three quarters.

The Bobcats had a final shot to win near the Huskies 30-yard-line with 0.3 seconds left in the game, but quarter Ryan Monardo was sacked.

"They’re a very good team. They ended up pressing us in the right places at the right times," Bobcats head coach David Huryk said of Patterson Mill. "You can’t win the game on a couple big plays. You need to have some type of sustained work ethic."

The all-time series between the teams is even at 2–2.

FINAL»   34, RISING SUN 26: Ryan Umpleby scored four touchdowns as the Cougars came back from a 20–6 first quarter deficit on the road.

"I think it shows that our kid had a lot of fight and character and playing twice this week is tough," Cougars head coach Dave Cesky said. "[Rising Sun is] really tough at home."

Umpleby scored on a 70-yard reception, runs of six and 30 yards and a 92-yard punt return. John Hetterman threw for two scores on the night.

Fallston, now 3–0, tied the game at 20 at the half before pulling away.

FINAL» 24, Elkton 17: The Eagles scored with approximately two minutes left to take the lead for good. Aberdeen is 3-0.

FINAL»  34, BO MANOR 6: James Smith scored twice for the Warriors who repeat the result of the 2010 Class 1A East region final.

FINAL» St. Paul's 28, NORTH HARFORD 13: The Hawks had six turnovers including four lost fumbles in the upset at home. North Harford outgained its private school counterpart 303–245 on offense.

FINAL»  13, North East 6: The Mustangs took a 10-6 lead on a Paul Lorick 9-yard touchdown run with about eight minutes remaining. Brendan Magistro had two second-half field goals in the win as C. Milton Wright improved to 2–1.

"Both teams played very well defensively. They made it tough on us but we hung in and made three or four plays that swung our way," Mustangs head coach David Yohn wrote in a text message. "I think that's the best North East team I have seen. I'm just really happy with the way our team saw it through to the end. I am extremely lucky to have a group of kids who don't quit and rally each other."

Tyler Bussenius added a Mustangs interception to start the fourth quarter.

FINAL» Joppatowne 28, EDGEWOOD 24: Joppatowne improves to 3–0 behind Jamil Lee, who rushed for three TDs and 180 yards on 26 carries. Josh Pace was 3-for-4 with 75 yards and a touchdown.

FINAL» BALTIMORE LUTHERAN 35,  7: Tech fell to 0-3, but their highlight of the night was Isaiah Gill's 101-yard interception return for a touchdown. Colin Riley kicked the extra point.

FINAL» Perryville 42, FAIRMONT HEIGHTS 7
