GIRLS HOOPS: Eagles Win Region Title

Bri Jones dropped 40 points Friday to send Aberdeen to the state semifinals.

Jones scored 40 points as the No. 1 seed Eagles won the Class 3A North region final, throttling Milford Mill, 84-66, Friday night at .

Aberdeen (24-1) will play Frederick (19-4) at 9 p.m. on March 8 at UMBC's RAC Arena.

With a win, the Eagles will be back in the state championship game—scheduled for 8 p.m on March 10 at UMBC. River Hill and Westlake meet in the other state semifinal.
