Citing the "impending snow storm," Harford County Public Schools officials canceled all after-school and evening activities on Thursday, Jan. 2.
That includes the Alternative Education Twilight Program, other school-sponsored activities and events held on school property, according to a statement from the school system.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Harford County and the Baltimore-Washington region, effective from 6 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday. Aberdeen may get up to five inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service.
"We will continue to monitor the storm trajectory," the school system's statement said. "At this time no decision has been made regarding tomorrow’s schedule. We will notify you via the usual communication channels, if tomorrow’s operating schedule should change."
