Running On The Run: When Do You Run?

Patch Associate Regional Editor Sean Welsh is picking up running amid an on-the-run schedule. Are you running in the Bulle Rock Turkey Trot?

I'm fitting a short run into my schedule.

I'm curious when others have found to be the best time to get the most out of their jog.

Generally, I'm running in the morning, after I drop my kids off at daycare and preschool.

Tuesday, I avoided running in the rain with an afternoon run. Wednesday, it was back to a morning effort.

I'm hoping to keep to a morning run as I prepare for the Bulle Rock Turkey Trot 5K—which also begins early in the day when the air is crisp and cool.

Generally when we run depends on a lot of other when's—work, weather, location, motivation, etc.

When do you run?

I prefer in the afternoon around 4-5. That way lunch has settled and I have some energy. If I run in the morning on an empty stomach, the body doesn't like it. and I don't want to run right after eating breakfast.
