Conor Bierfeldt helped the Aberdeen IronBirds make it to the playoffs.

Conor Bierfeldt was named New York-Penn League's Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

The Aberdeen IronBirds left fielder earned the recognition for his performance the week of Aug. 26 to Sept. 2, according to a press release.

In the past week, Bierfeldt batted 11-32 (.344) with nine RBIs and four home runs; and his solo home run was the difference in the IronBirds’ 1-0 victory over the Hudson Valley Renegades on Aug. 29, the release stated.

According to the release, Bierfeldt's performance helped the IronBirds secure the McNamara Division title for the first time in the franchise's 12-year history.
