Voting Opens for Ripken Stadium Announcer
The Aberdeen IronBirds listed 16 top candidates on its Facebook page.
The voice of the fans will help decide the voice of Ripken Stadium.
The Aberdeen IronBirds opened voting for its new announcer on its Facebook page. Fans must "like" the Facebook page to listen to the finalists' auditions and vote for their favorite.
The top eight vote-getters will be invited to Ripken Stadium on Saturday, May 4, during IronFest for a live audition in front of judges.

The team, a Baltimore Orioles single-A affiliate, first announced the search in April, and received 70 submissions, according to the Facebook page.
