Pools to Open for Memorial Day
Here are a few places where you and your family can make a splash in Harford County.
Memorial Day marks the traditional beginning of the swimming pool season. Here are some of the pools in the Harford County area that will be opening this weekend, welcoming swimmers, divers and cannonballers alike.

Where: 1408 Bayview Dr., Havre de Grace
Hours: Noon to 8 p.m. every day from Saturday, May 25, through Labor Day

Membership: A seasonal family membership is $350 for up to 6 people. Additional family members cost $40 each. A single person membership is $235. All memberships can be purchased on the swim club's website.
Aberdeen Family Swim Center
Where: 615 Old Robinhood Rd., Aberdeen
Hours: Noon to 8 p.m. through Labor Day (Opens Saturday)
Membership: A family of up to five is $125 for Aberdeen residents, or $200 for non-residents, plus $40 per each additional family member. An individual membership is $100 for residents or $175 for non-residents. Other costs are listed on the Boys and Girls Clubs of Harford County's website.
Where: 4948 Conowingo Rd., Darlington
Hours: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Labor Day (Opens Saturday)
Membership: Up to $260 for a family membership or $100 for a single membership. The form is on the pool's website.
Where: 1912 Fallston Rd., Fallston
Hours: 3 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 3 to 10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday while school is in session. Noon to 10 p.m. Sunday through Friday when school is out.
Membership: $550 refundable stock fee plus $600 (family) or $450 annual dues and $150 in application and registration fees. The club offers other athletic activities, including tennis. More information is available on the club's website.
Where: 514 Joppa Farm Rd., Joppa
Hours: not available
Membership: 2013 rates have not been posted, but 2012 rates were $485 for a family or $300 for an individual member. Call the club at 410-538-6501 for more information.
Where: 1008 South Fountain Green Rd., Bel Air
Hours: Opens 3 p.m. weekdays through June 12. Then noon to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to 10 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. (Opened Friday)
Membership: Dues do not appear to be posted on the club's website, but prospective members can contact the club.
