Home Runs For Homeless Pushed Back

The annual event at Ripken Stadium was postponed due to inclement weather.

After weather threw a curve ball, a baseball-themed fundraiser for the Harford Family House originally set for Tuesday has been moved down in the order.

Home Runs for the Homeless was rescheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 24, with first pitch at 8 a.m. at Ripken Stadium, office manager Tiffany Simmons said in an email.

The annual event allows teams of four to step up to the plate at Ripken Stadium and hit for power for 15 at-bats per person. The longest combined distance for the team's at-bats wins. The event also includes carnival games and a dunking booth.
