Kiss-A-Pig Event Raises $28K for Boys and Girls Clubs

Harford County Boys & Girls Club closes 2011 fundraiser event.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County raised more than $28,500 in the Kiss-A-Pig event.

The event began in June and ran through Aug. 19, when the candidates met Lucy, the pig from Holloway Farms. Tamera Rush—of SRC and Women in Defense—won with more than $6,000 raised.

Candidates, with the help of a campaign manager, attempt to raise the most funds. All proceeds go to support youth development programs at local Boys & Girls Clubs.
