No Kill Harford Aims To Save Every Stray

A local grass roots organization has laid out an 11-step plan to save the life of every adoptable animal in Harford County.

No Kill Harford, a grassroots organization of volunteers aiming to save the lives of all adoptable pets, has laid out a plan to reduce the stray pet population, create a network for foster care and educate residents about caring for animals.

The organization has taken on the “no kill equation," an 11-step plan first described in Nathan Winograd's book "Redemption" for saving the life of every stray animal.

“We need discussions on changing philosophy in the community. I call it uniting the big three: citizens and local businesses; legislative animal health control departments; and the shelters, rescues and businesses that make money off animals. We’re trying to get all three in line to say we’re going to do whatever we can to save animals,” said Adam Wysocki, a leading member of No Kill Harford.
