It says Around Town but the headline is UTAH. Utah is not near Natick!! I think everyone should notRead More open an article on Patch unless they see their town's name in the headline. So If it doesn't say Natick, then we all know it is not LOCAL to the Natick Patch. The less clicks these Patch sites get, the fewer advertisers they will get and then perhaps they will realize if we want sensational news from across the country we'd go back to Patch's former owners AOL and the HuffPost! Those here from other Patch sites - I think you should do the same only click on articles that mention your community's name. No name. No click!

I am a Christian and have accepted Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God as my Lord andRead More Saviour. Some of you posting must not have actually heard what Pastor John Hagee said. What he said was, that when other blood moons ocurred that something significant ocurred regarding the Jews, the blood moon of 1492 and the expulsion edict to remove all Jews from Spain, the 1948 blood moon Israel became a nation, the 1967 blood moon and the six day war resulting in some Israeli land being reclaimed. Pastor Hagee said NOTHING about the end of the world ocurring to coincide with the four blood moons ( he did however say people would say he did - which looking at these posts some have misconstrued his words). Perhaps all the posters that are commenting on what Pastor Hagee said should actually hear what he said PRIOR to commenting/mocking/judging. Pastor Hagee and his statements. Perhaps, in time, we will see if the government of Israel has made a significant decision today. Personally (my very own personal opinion- no Biblical prophecy just me), I hope they decide NOT to ever release any more terrorists from prison to bribe the palestinians to "talk" about making a peace agreement.....just saying....

Are these people studpid or what. How many warnings in the media do you have to get before youRead More realize it's risky to take one of the cheapy cruises.
mnadol April 13, 2014 at 11:39 am
I was on this last cruise - it was disgusting. They should have taken the ship out of service onRead More Ap[ril 5 and done a full sterilization of the ship. There were passengers doing back to back cruises and they could merely stay on the ship while it was being "deep cleaned". Fortunately we did not get sick but the crew stood around with buckets of "cleaner" fluid and wiped down elevators and surfaces every 15 minutes without drying them, leaving wet sticky surfaces everywhere. You won't find me on Grandeur again. The virus has no price tag - all of the ships are susceptible if they aren't managed carefully.

My family and I were on the March 28 cruise and I did not know that there was a norovirus problemRead More until I read this article! The only problem we encountered was on the way home... we had up to 35 foot waves and 50 mph winds! People were falling, dishes were crashing. There were a lot of people that were seasick.

So called "juveniles" are sexual beings, just as much as so called "adults".Read More Their newly awakened hormones conflict with their still immature values, and such things as sexting and pregnancy are the result. Do the schools help them to resolve the problem? No, they are mainly concerned with readin', writin' and 'rithmatic, not morals, values and logic. The parents have only as much of these as they have learned from their parents or through experience, and many haven't learned much.

Call me a pervert but maybe we should learn from them and not be so uptight about our bodies. SureRead More we can say it's morals...but is it really something to be ashamed of? By the time they are our age the media will be commenting on how much clothes people are wearing. Our society's not based on religion anymore... we gave that up years ago.(yeah yeah now call me a infidel or what ever you want ... then go pretend like you are a moral person)

Elizabeth, Why have yesterday's / last week's stories at the top, having to scroll to the bottom toRead More reach the headlines alluded to in this subject line? Patch needs to revise this. It's crazy.
Elizabeth Janney (Editor) April 7, 2014 at 10:32 am
Hi Mary, The thought was that people may see other stories of interest in the list while scrollingRead More to ones they wanted to read from the headline. I can see where you are coming from, though, and will change accordingly. Thanks for the feedback!

I am so glad this place exists!!!! If only we could have about 19 more of these in Baltimore SO manyRead More many many needs could be met. Think of all of the futures that could be changed. This has to be the 1st time I've seen anything other than the old, "they turned 18 let them fend for themselves" attitude around here probably Ever. And OBVIOUSLY that has never worked well before so why keep with it? People need guidance & hope for the future & the ability to actually do something with said futures & when they don't...that's when you get the average young person running around in the lower income areas of Bmore.

My post, cont'd: I googled Patch. It is the recipient of some awards. I noticed a change awhileRead More ago, which may be when the Patch was sold earlier this year. We stopped having a local editor and local stories. Here is a link to some history of Patch: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/01/16/business/media/aol-finds-a-partner-to-run-its-troubled-patch-division.html?_r=0 I don't want to see lurid headlines of non-local stories. An alternative to Patch would be the local Gazette, which is also in print.

Oh, and I own a pibble too :) Sorry, guess that's pit bull to you all. He's terrified of fireworksRead More and a lot more. He's been known to knock over little kids and big kids and adults so he can lick them to death. He doesn't give more than a 'woof' if a stranger comes to the door. Then he licks them to death if I let them in. He gives those 'vicious' pibbles everywhere a bad name, lololol! Dog fighting rings are run by thugs and Michael Vick is a thug. I cannot believe that he's been allowed to own a dog (just one) again. Shows that money talks and bs walks, as per usual.

Alcohol and smoking are both ADDICTING! Seems like alcohol is more of a problem in your family,Read More Pam, than the smoking. I have zero tolerance for either. I was once married to an alcoholic and he died because of his drinking -- and he smoked like a chimney! You don't know enough about second-hand smoking which can be MORE dangerous than smoking!
