The Hangar, located inside Ripken Stadium, is the official store of the Aberdeen Ironbirds, a minor league baseball teamMore owned by Cal Ripken Jr. The Hangar stocks an array of Ironbirds merchandise, including pens, bobble heads and plush Ferrous mascots. The IronBirds are a short-season Class A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles.

The team is owned by RipkenMore Baseball—the business founded and managed by Hall of Famer and Aberdeen native Cal Ripken.

The IronBirds play 38 games a year at Ripken Stadium. The club debuted as the Aberdeen IronBirds in 2002, as a member of the New York-Penn League, after the Ripken organization purchased the Utica Blue Sox and moved the team to Aberdeen.

Players on the team are members of the Orioles organization and are assigned to Aberdeen by the parent club. Generally, the players are in their first or second year in professional baseball.
