An Aberdeen man was struck and killed early Wednesday on U.S. Route 40 in Aberdeen. Aberdeen police responded around 4:50 a.m. on May 15 to the area of Pulaski Highway (Route 40) near Beards Hill Road Extended, according to a department release. Officers arrived to find a man being administered CPR, the release stated. David Robert Brooke Jr., 32, of Walnut Lane in Aberdeen, was hit by a 1996 Chevy Blazer being driven by a 50-year-old Aberdeen man. The Aberdeen Fire Department transported Brooke to Harford Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The driver was uninjured, according to the release. A street fight in Aberdeen on Sunday night ended with gunfire, according to the Aberdeen Police Department. At 8:15 p.m., police from Aberdeen, Havre de Grace and the Harford County Sheriff's Office responded to the 400 block of Washington Street in Aberdeen for a reported gunshot. Witnesses said that several people had been fighting in the street when one produced a handgun and fired a shot that hit a nearby home on Washington Street, police said. There were people inside the home, but nobody was injured, according to Aberdeen officials. Those involved in the fight reportedly left before police arrived. A man was injured Tuesday at the Pier 1 distribution center on Old Philadelphia Road.
The victim of an industrial accident at Pier 1 Imports in Aberdeen is in stable condition Wednesday, according to the Aberdeen Police Department. On Tuesday night, a 20-year-old Edgewood man was found by his coworkers in grave condition on a loading dock at the distribution center, police said. At approximately 6 p.m., a coworker began first aid and police were called to the distribution center, which is located on the 900 block of Old Philadelphia Road, according to a statement from the police department. Once officers got to the scene, the Aberdeen Police Department took over CPR until paramedics arrived from the Aberdeen Fire Department, police said. A man in his 20s was in grave condition Tuesday after an injury on the 900 block of Old Philadelphia Road in Aberdeen, Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association, told Patch. At approximately 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, emergency personnel responded to an incident initially reported as an "accident involving a piece of machinery" at the Pier 1 distribution center on Old Philadelphia Road, Gardiner said. The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he remained in grave condition Tuesday evening, Gardiner said. UPDATED (2:50 p.m.)—Aberdeen police said the man who was found dead Tuesday in the front seat of his car in an Aberdeen parking lot died of a self-inflicted gunshot. In a news release Wednesday afternoon, the Aberdeen Police Department—citing its own investigation and the results of an autopsy at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner—said the man died of a single self-inflicted gunshot wound. A male was found dead Tuesday evening in a parking lot at a new office park in Aberdeen.
Aberdeen police are investigating a shooting that left one male dead early Tuesday evening. An unidentified male was found deceased, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aberdeen Police Department Cpl. Larry Wade told Patch Tuesday night. Asked if the death was a homicide, Wade said he could not confirm any further details as the investigation was ongoing. Police responded around 5:30 p.m. to the parking lot of a new office building along MD Route 22 next to the Target shopping center, Wade said. Two Aberdeen teenagers have been arrested and charged in connection with a 2012 gas station robbery. Daquane S. Johnson, 18, of the 100 block of Hamilton Place in Aberdeen, was charged Tuesday with robbing the Exxon gas station on South Philadelphia Boulevard on Nov. 19, 2012, according to a release from the Aberdeen Police Department Thursday afternoon. Johnson was released on $75,000 bond, police said. A 14-year-old from Aberdeen also has been charged in the case, and is being held at the Charles Hickey Juvenile facility in Baltimore County, according to the release. Aberdeen police are looking for three males who invaded a city home Friday brandishing a handgun. Officers responded to the first block of Swan Street around 5:20 p.m. on Feb. 1 for a report of a woman screaming, according to an Aberdeen Police Department release. Police said three males with a handgun broke into a residence on the block, taking cash and other items from the home before running from the scene. Four people were in the home at the time, but nobody was injured, according to the release. A 14-year-old Aberdeen boy is charged with an armed robbery that occurred early Wednesday at an Aberdeen gas station, city police said. According to an Aberdeen Police Department release, officers arrived around 12:57 a.m. on Jan. 30 at the Shell station on the 1000 block of Middleton Road. A male in a mask and gloves showed a knife and demanded cash before running from the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, police said. The suspect, who matched a description and the subject on security footage, was located on Warwick Drive. Police charged the teen with robbery and the suspect was transported to the Charles H.
