Now Hiring: Wegmans Accepting Applications for 550 New Workers

Community members could work for what Fortune magazine calls the third-best employer in the country: Wegmans Food Markets. The Abingdon store, set to open Sept. 18, is accepting applications for 150 full-time positions. (Click here to apply.) “There are great opportunities,” company spokeswoman Jo Natale told Patch. “We will spend just about $1.6 million training for the Bel Air store alone.” The grocer, located at 2941 Emmorton Road, just off Interstate 95, plans to hire 600 workers, 550 of which will be new employees.
