Boys Hoops: Eagles Beat North Harford, 55-43

Aberdeen earned the right to advance to the Regional Semifinals by beating North Harford in round two of the MPSSAA 3A Quarterfinals Monday night.

The Aberdeen Eagles beat the North Harford Hawks 55-43 in Monday night's MPSSAA 3A Quarterfinals matchup. Both teams—and their fans in the standing-room-only crowd—gave their all. Defensively, the Eagles proved outstanding, forcing turnovers and pressing the ball all 94 feet, but they didn't click as quickly on offense.  The Eagles had to feel their way through the Hawks' two-three zone, but still managed to score 16 points in the first quarter. North Harford struggled most of the game, scoring only 14 points in the first half. In the third quarter, Aberdeen stretched the lead to 19, led by Gerrae Williams, who scored six of his 22 points in the third. Aberdeen Eagles Fly Past Edgewood Rams 68-57 in Final Regular Season Game Victory

Aberdeen finished the regular season on a high note as they beat Rival Edgewood Rams Friday night at Edgewood High school.

The Aberdeen boys basketball team beat Edgewood by 11 points Friday in the final game of the regular season. In a slightly less than full Edgewood gym it was easy to see that playoffs were getting close. Both teams gave their all in this Route 40 rivalry. Both teams were firing on all cylinders in the first quarter, playing good defense and working hard on offense. Aberdeen got into foul trouble early. Tevon Saddler was saddled with foul trouble for most of the game. At the end of the first quarter the score was Aberdeen 16, Edgewood 15. The second quarter was much like the first. Both teams tried to make adjustments to pull away but neither could. The halftime score was Aberdeen 32, Edgewood 29. Both teams played much tougher defense at …

C. Milton Wright Shocks Aberdeen

In a very close boys basketball game, C. Milton Wright pulls off an upset to beat Aberdeen 64-60

It took almost two minutes for either team to score Friday night but after a few missed shots, Aberdeen’s Tevon Saddler scored the first points of the game on his home court. Saddler's basket sparked a six-to-zero run for the Eagles in the 8:45 p.m. game. But the Mustangs called a timeout and came out fired up trading baskets with Aberdeen until the end of the first quarter leaving the score Aberdeen 14, C. Milton Wright 11. DeAndre Henson, of the Eagles, scored the first points of the second quarter hitting one-of-two free throws. C. Milton Wright would answer with back-to-back field goals tying the game at 15 all. The Mustangs played good defense and were able to hang with the Eagles. At the end of the first half the score was tied 28 …
