Ravens Treat Charitable Harford County Girl Scouts

Troop 821 received tickets to a Baltimore Ravens game in recognition for helping to feed the hungry of Harford County.

When a group of Harford County Girl Scouts set out to collect 10 tons of food for the hungry, they weren't expecting to also earn free Ravens tickets.  The young ladies of Girl Scouts of Central Maryland Troop 821 cheered the Baltimore Ravens to victory from the stands of M&T Bank Stadium Sunday after being selected for the Honor Rows program, according to a release. Honor Rows, now in its 13th year, recognizes organizations that have shown committment to serving their communities. Winners get tickets to a home game, Honor Rows t-shirts, and a visit to the field before the game, the release states. During the game, winners are recognized on-screen in the stadium. Final Casting Call For 'House Of Cards' Saturday

The final casting call for the Netfilx series "House of Cards," which is being filmed in Harford County, will be held at the Bel Air Reckord Armory on Saturday.

If you've ever wanted to star in a television show, Saturday in Bel Air could be your big break. The Netflix political thriller "House of Cards," which is being filmed in Harford County, needs extras. The show's producers are holding the final open casting call for the show's first season from 1-6 p.m. Saturday at the Bel Air Reckord Armory, 41 N. Main Street. Applicants may also be considered for recurring or featured roles. The show is looking for the following: A current head shot or snapshot is required. PHOTOS: Harford's Beautiful Babies Benefit Nonprofits

The contest sponsored by Celebree Learning Center benefits Harford Family House and SARC.

  The Harford Mall was transformed into a baby haven on Saturday during the third annual Harford’s Most Beautiful Baby contest. Blake Daniel Webster, age 8 months, was named the most beautiful baby and received the grand prize—which includes a full year of preschool donated by Celebree Learning Center and $1,000 cash donated by Susquehanna Bank, according to a release. Blake was selected out of 10 finalists by a panel of four judges. Mother/daughter and father/son look-a-like contests and a baby crawl race were also features of the day-long event. All proceeds from the event, sponsored by Celebree, went toward Harford County-based nonprofits Harford Family House and SARC, which stands for Safety Awareness Resources Change. SARC provides …
