A 17-year-old was taken to a regional trauma center Wednesday after emergency personnel rescued the teen from the Bush River. Around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday a canoe on the Bush River behind Water Park Drive in Belcamp overturned, sending two people into the water, Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association wrote in a post to the official fire and EMS Facebook page. Emergency personnel were alerted to a possible drowning on post Wednesday.
UPDATE: (7:18 p.m.)—A person died on Aberdeen Proving Ground after an accident at an unexploded ordinance range pond Wednesday afternoon. Around 2:30 p.m. Susquehanna Hose Company's dive team was notified of a possible drowning on post by Aberdeen Proving Ground Fire Department, the Susquehanna Hose Chief Scott Hurst said Wednesday. The team arrived at the scene shortly before 3 p.m. to assist, Hurst said. The person involved died and the body has been recovered, according to a release from the U.S. Army Garrison public affairs office. The victim's name has not been released pending family notification. No further information was available as of post time.

Recovery efforts in Aberdeen Proving Ground have been postponed until Sunday morning.
UPDATE (11:15 p.m.)—An unidentified male who fell from a pontoon boat into Bush River is feared drowned Saturday evening. Authorities conducted a water rescue near Abingdon from about 6:25 p.m. to 7:10 p.m. No body had been found as of 8:25 p.m. Further recovery efforts, which were postponed, are expected to continue shortly after 6 a.m. Sunday. According to Coast Guard News, the man is 55 years old. Harford County and Baltimore County rescue personnel assisted Aberdeen Proving Ground authorities in responding to the incident, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for Harford County emergency services.
