Aberdeen Woman Charged With Child Abuse

The mother took her 8-month old to the emergency room with skull fractures.

An Aberdeen woman has been charged with child abuse after taking her infant to the hospital with multiple skull fractures.

Kayla Marie Barker, 23, of the first block of Spesutia Road, was charged with first-degree child abuse and first-degree assault, police confirmed.

ABC2 News first reported that Barker took her 8-month-old to an unidentified emergency room with a "swollen eye, bruising about the face and multiple skull fractures."
