first baseman Christian Walker has only gotten into four games heading into Wednesday.

But the former South Carolina star enters the six-game homestand at on the heels of his best game yet, having gone 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles on Monday.

Walker was drafted in the fourth round by the Orioles in last month's draft after winning two national titles with the Gamecocks.

"I'm only two hours from Baltimore and even less than that to Aberdeen. My family gets to come out to see me, and my grandparents, who couldn't come down to South Carolina, are planning trips to come see me," Walker told Murray for an IronBirds broadcast.
