Where to Pick Your Own Pumpkins Around Harford County

Celebrate fall with a pumpkin, hayride and corn maze.

Get into the fall spirit by visiting a pumpkin patch, enjoying a hayride and stuffing a scarecrow at these family friendly venues.

Harman's Farm in Churchville
On Saturday and Sunday, take a free wagon ride to the pumpkin patch and pick your own pumpkin from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Back at its shop, Harman's sells a variety of pumpkins in varying shapes, sizes and colors, including white ones for painting. There's also a corn maze and swing set for the kids and a produce market with fresh fruits and veggies.

Applewood Farm in Whiteford
There's a petting zoo. corn maze, model train, lawn bowling, reindeer antler toss and more. The farm is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. It's $3 to get in and admission is free for those younger than 3 years.

Take a hayride across the farm and over a creek to pick your own pumpkin. Hayrides are offered from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Gast Family Farms in Jarrettsville
The farm hosts a "fall festival" on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. People can pick their own pumpkins and enjoy apple cider and other refreshments. There's pumpkin bowling, face painting, a hay ride, straw maze and seasonal items like wreaths to purchase. It's $2 per person.

Hawks Hill Creamery in Street
Pick your own pumpkin, then head back to the pumpkin painting station to decorate it and/or make a scarecrow. There are also pre-picked pumpkins in addition to a corn maze, spooky wagon ride, petting zoo and face painting. Ice cream and baked goods are for sale. Pumpkin picking takes place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and days when school is out, and from 2 to 6 p.m. Sundays.
