Donate Your Coats To Aberdeen Children

Aberdeen Patch is collecting coats for families in need this winter.

The temperatures Monday didn't call for heavy coats.

But cold weather is right around the corner, and some Aberdeen children are in need of coats and winter apparel.

Patch is here to help.

We are collecting coats for children that attend Hall's Cross Roads Elementary School this month.

After two successful coat drives in Havre de Grace, Patch reached out to Harford County Public Schools to learn that Aberdeen children may be in need of winter coats, hats, gloves, etc. this winter.

After a quick text exchange with Mayor Michael Bennett, the coat drive was underway.

Starting Tuesday morning, donate your coats and other winter items in the lobby at Aberdeen City Hall.

Just look for the green bin and drop your items off. If the bin is full, let us know: with an email to Aberdeen@Patch.com or a call or text to 443-299-7702.

Help Patch make the winter a little more bearable for Aberdeen families in need.
