Aberdeen Police Hosting Community Event Saturday at Hillsdale Elementary

The Aberdeen Police Department will hold a community event Saturday at Hillsdale Elementary School with the goal of "building stronger communities."

Aberdeen police are planning a community event Saturday to help build a stronger community.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, the Aberdeen Police Department will host a community event at George D. Lisby Elementary School at Hillsdale, according to a message sent out to the community Monday evening.

The school is located at 810 Edmund St. in Aberdeen.

The event will be held in partnership with fire prevention, the auxiliary police and Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

The automated message said: "Please come out for an enjoyable day for all, because we are committed to building strong communities in the home of opportunity. We hope to see you there."
